An elegant green & white Spring Wedding at Dodford Manor, Northamptonshire
This wedding was a wonderful mixture of elegance, rustic charm and personal, handmade touches. I had never photographed at Dodford Manor before, which despite the name is a stunning BARN venue (I guess the Manor part is from when it was a country house or something?...). I love a barn wedding and this venue did not disappoint - beautiful brickwork, large windows to let in lots of natural light plenty of room inside and outside and stunning grounds. As you know I am a real lover of natural light and wide open landscapes and I had plenty of that here with acres of fields surrounding the wedding barn which enabled us to sneek away from the crowds at about 7pm to get some beautiful natural golden light wedding photos.
The bride got ready with her mother and bridesmaids in a stunning house about 10 minutes from the venue and had an amazing Sassi Holford dress while the bridesmaids all looked beautiful in navy blue maxi dresses. Decor included natural green and white flowers to give a truly spring feel to the barn, rustic hessian signs, table plans and names based on their favourite places to visit in New York and a brilliant wedding guest book utilising a polaroid camera and scrap book.
But the best part of this day was the truly beautiful emphasis on family and the clear love and happiness there was between all the parents, brothers, sisters, grandparents etc. It was a privilege to witness and capture on camera. I hope you love this wedding as much as I enjoyed photographing it xxx
