Dream Boho Wedding Venues for 2016

Happy New Year everyone! I hope you've all had a great Christmas break and are ready for the new year? I love new year. I love making plans, having ideas, ambitions, aspirations. So, in line with that I've decided that I'm going to put out there my dream venues that I would LOVE to photograph this. year. If you haven't chosen a venue yet, this should hopefully give you some ideas and inspiration and fingers crossed increase my chances of photographing these stunning wedding venues.

Now as you know, I'm a lover of the outdoors, wilderness locations, adventure and anything with a boho, free spirited vibe. SO these venues of course fit with this ethos:

1) River Cottage, Devon

Food is a passion of mine - particularly the importance of seasonal, local, nutritious ingredients. So when I heard that River Cottage of Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall fame had become licensed to host weddings, I just knew it would be a dream to shoot a wedding there. A 65 acre organic farm you are able to say I do in the farmhouse or threshing barn, relax in the yurt, wander through the small holding, have drinks in the walled garden and of course feast of the extraordinary food that the famous kitchen will serve up for your guests

2) Woodland Wedding

Sigh, what could be more romantic than marrying in woodland surrounded by ancient trees and natural habitat? Woodland Weddings have teamed up with forest locations across the UK including Cannock, Delamere and Dalby to enable you to have a true back to nature experience on your wedding day. Set up a tipi, some campfires, a hog roast, good music and you're away!

3) The Yurt Retreat, Somerset

Nestled at the foot of a medieval castle, the Yurt Retreat is a stunning glamping location with the space for a marquee or yurt to host your wedding party surrounded by stunning countryside. Although they are not yet licensed for ceremonies, there are lots of beautiful locations to have a blessing and what a stunning place to celebrate getting married.

4) Isle of Skye

The most beautiful place I have ever visited I think. Stunning coastline, mountains, wilderness just bliss. And a popular place for elopements. I would just love the chance to photograph a couple in love amidst the beauty of this place - well worth the 10 hour drive to get there :-)

5) Out to Grass campsite, Worcestershire

This beautiful campsite set near the Malvern Hills is the perfect spot for a festival, free living styled wedding. They have a large geodome on site which can hold up to 180 people and it comes fully equipped with a sound and lighting system. There are also beautiful bell tents for those who fancy a spot of glamping afterwards and the ability to design your own unique wedding.

So if you fancy getting married in any of these locations PLEASE give me a ring and I'll be there in a shot :-)

Happy planning xx
