A winter wedding at The Moonraker hotel with pink roses and a rustic marquee
The Moonraker in Wiltshire is one of my favourite venues as a wedding photographer. The house itself is beautiful - wonderful old stone, wooden floors, huge fireplace, a gorgeous little bar, styled in an old, rustic style and surrounded by lovely rural fields, despite it's proximity to the beautiful town of Bradford-upon-Avon.
Leigh-Ann and Robby's wedding day was full of the most important thing of all - warm and loving family and friends. Leigh-Ann's 3 neices made the most adorable flower girls and were so well behaved. Friends and family chatted and mingled, supping on bubbles and nibbling on delicous canapes. If you are a lover of food, The Moonraker is the ideal venue for you - they have their own kitchen garden and amazing chefs - the food is to die for, locally sourced, home grown and perfectly cooked.
While the guests relaxed we slipped away, clambering through mud and over rusty gates to get some beautiful shots of the happy couple in that golden winter light, away from the hustle and bustle of the big day for 15 minutes they could relax, laugh, and revel in the fact that they were now husband and wife.
A delicous dinner was served the beautiful marquee - complete with wooden floors and a roaring wood burner. After dinner speeches were perfect and brief and the guests moved onto dancing, drinking and placing bets in the casino that had been set up.
Leigh-Ann and Robby, thankyou for inviting me to be a part of your day. It was wonderful - the perfect example of why winter weddings in my opinion are so beautiful. xxx
