Peak Tipi Wedding full of rustic charm

Outdoor weddings are my favourite type, I'm not gonna lie. A tipi wedding, a yurt wedding, a marquee wedding - sign me up. As you probably know I love the outdoors but of course the weather in the lovely little country of ours makes planning a wedding completely outdoors a bit of a risk. Enter the tent - these days there are some really beautiful tipi, marquee and yurt options and some fabulous companies that can provide them for you. The other thing I love about weddings in tents it that is often inspires wonderful creativity with regards to how the wedding is styled. It truly is a blank canvas for you to decorate and style as you wish.

This wedding was utterly perfect for Laura and Rich. Laura first got in touch with me while I was away camping in deepest, darkest Wales. I remember getting her email and knowing instantly that I wanted to photograph their wedding. They lived in Australia and were coming back home to England for a laid back, relaxed wedding day in a tipi in the grounds of Rich's house. There is so much about this wedding that I love - Laura and Rich themselves are just so lovely - down to earth, warm, friendly - I was made to feel so welcome. And not only by them, all their friends and family could not have been more inviting. When I turned up at the house the bride was getting ready in to find a girl I worked with in a pub at uni opening the door to me (she was the brides sister - complete coincidence!) I knew it was going to be a good day. The wedding really was as relaxed and laid back as they had wanted - no dramas, or stresses (bar the epic downpour the day before ahem) - the day was perfectly styled, the bride and groom looked completely gorgeous, the bridesmaid dresses are to die for - take a look for yourselves there is just so much to love here.
