An elegant 3 day Wedding at Goodnestone Park
Samantha and James had originally planned for their wedding to take place in the France but of course Covid, as for so many others, put a halt to that. Taking place during the rule of no more than 30 for a wedding, they instead they created a stunning 3 day event at Goodnestone Park for their closest friends and family. I was welcomed with open arms by everyone there, made to feel so welcome and adored documenting such an intimate event with such a wonderfully kind, loving and fun group of people.
Day 1 I spent some time with Sam and her sisters, to whom she shares an incredible bond. It was wonderful to spend time getting to know these wonderful women and we had a lot of fun sipping champagne and running around the country estate in silk pyjamas and beautiful gowns!
Day 2 was the main event and the most spectacular day. Natasha Spencer Events was the wedding planner and the day ran so smoothly and elegantly. Goodnestone has the most beautiful bedrooms that were an absolute dream to photograph the prep in the morning. We then headed over to the church before coming back to a beautiful 5 course meal, under canvas outside with an exquisitely planned menu and accompanying wine menu. The afternoon passed with heartfelt speeches, loved ones chatting for hours and an absolute bubble of love and happiness, before everyone moved inside for the evening cocktails and dancing.
Day 3 was more delicious food! Afternoon tea, followed by garden games and a Mexican evening with slow cooked meats, sombrero's and more wine. The whole event was meticulously planned by the couple and Natasha and was a true lesson in the importance of friends and family. There was so much love and joy and it was the best fun. S&J are two of the most generous and loving people I've had the pleasure of meeting. Thank you for asking me to document this milestone in your life, it was an absolute honour and I adored every minute of it.
